The Oliver McGowan Training
All Harmony Healthcare staff complete the Oliver McGowan training, this gives our staff a better understanding of supporting clients with a learning disability and/or autism and is the governments preferred and recommended training for Health & Social Care staff. We offer both Tier 1 and 2 training delivered as a combination of e-learning and face to face training.
Care Certificate
We offer all our staff the opportunity to complete the Care Certificate as part of our robust induction training, this ensures all our staff have the skills and knowledge to deliver compassionate, safe and high-quality care.
Wound Care
Our training ensures that carers can manage wounds efficiently and safely. Participants will learn proper handwashing techniques to reduce infection risks, how to clean wounds, apply antibiotics, cover wounds, and provide ongoing care.
PEG and Pump Feeding
We strive to innovate when it comes to functionality. Our mission is to be the best, come and join the ride.
Basic Life Support
Basic life support training equips our carers with the knowledge to keep clients safe in emergencies. This includes airway maintenance, initial assessments, mouth-to-mouth ventilation, and chest compressions, empowering carers to handle various situations confidently.
Dementia Awareness
Our dementia awareness course provides carers with essential skills to enhance the well-being of clients with dementia. Training includes understanding dementia, recognising its signs, the importance of early diagnosis, and effective communication with compassion.
End of Life Care
Carers will gain a comprehensive understanding of end-of-life care and relevant legislation. This training covers the stages of grief, supporting clients and families, and promoting choice and control during this critical time.
Medication Safety and Buccal Training
This training focuses on safe medication administration and Buccal training, ensuring our carers can provide safe and effective care for clients at home.
Adult & Paediatric Tracheostomy
Training for adult and paediatric tracheostomy covers types, complications, infection control, dressing changes, and maintaining accurate client records.
Epilepsy Awareness
The epilepsy awareness course provides carers with knowledge on managing seizures, recognising when to call for help, observing and recording episodes, and conducting care planning and risk assessments.
Stoma Management
Stoma management training ensures carers understand the digestive system, types of stomas, potential side effects, and how to educate clients about their care.
CPAP & BiPAP Training
This training covers the principles of CPAP and BiPAP, including their indications, benefits, potential side effects, and practical insights for effective use.
