The benefits of emergency Homecare
Case study emergency Homecare
Betty lives on her own and uses another care provider during the day for hourly visits. She relies on the carer to administer her medication, take care of the housework, do her shopping, and help her get ready and with personal care. She does not have any family and doesn’t have a partner.
Betty receives a call to say that her carer is sick and won’t be able to attend for a week or longer, and that they do not have a replacement in her local area.
She calls us up and explains her dilemma. We arrange a carer to attend urgently, and then carry out a full assessment to understand her needs. We have now been providing Betty with care services for over 2 years’ as she felt that we were much more reliable, & we have always been able to replace her carer when there has been occasions, she can’t make it.
Betty and her carer have a lot in common, and she enjoys her company.
